Snir Stream
A wet and refreshing nature experience for you and your dog! Start the adventure at the dirt parking lot located next to a green orchard and the northern gate of Moshav Beit Hillel. Walk south along the fragrant orchard until you reach the tempting flowing waters of Snir Stream. Here, turn right and begin a magical journey along the stream on a mostly shaded path – a huge advantage on hot days! The trail offers many spots where your dog can splash in the water and refresh, while you enjoy the pastoral landscape and rich vegetation. If you’re looking for a longer adventure, you can continue for another hour and fifteen minutes until you reach the parking area adjacent to The Village on the Jordan Travelers Hotel, where you can leave a second vehicle. This is a wonderful trail for the whole family, combining nature, water, and scenery in one perfect experience for you and your four-legged friend.
Ein Divsha
A magical water adventure your dog won’t forget! Find the Ein Divsha dirt parking lot (about 3.5 km south of Gonen Junction) and prepare for a wet and fun experience. From the parking lot, carefully cross the road and the cattle passage, and a short walk of just 100 meters will lead you to the clear spring waters. Here begins the really fun part – walking in the water itself! Walk against the current for about half an hour through amazing pastoral scenery until you reach an ancient and impressive flour mill. Along the route, you’ll find benches and perfect shaded spots for resting and splashing. Dogs are especially excited about walking in water, and this is a great way for them to cool off on a hot day. The entire trail is about one kilometer round trip, suitable for the whole family, and walking in water adds a dimension of adventure everyone will enjoy.
Ami Promenade
A perfect hike for a relaxed Wednesday afternoon with your dog! Find the convenient dirt parking lot adjacent to the entrance gate of Kibbutz Sde Nehemia. After parking, cross the road and proceed toward the junction, where you’ll see clear signs directing you down to the beautiful Ami Promenade along the Jordan River. The well-maintained promenade extends for just over a kilometer and offers a relaxing and pleasant experience for everyone. Around the promenade, you’ll find spacious lawns where your dog will be happy to frolic, accessible and orderly paths for comfortable walking, and perfect shaded spots for resting beside the calming waters of the Jordan. This is an excellent choice for families, couples, and hikers with dogs looking for an easy and relaxed hike. The promenade is circular and suitable for all fitness levels, and the soothing view of the river and surrounding vegetation creates a serene and refreshing atmosphere.
Sa’ar Waterfall
A spectacular winter experience for nature and dog lovers! When winter arrives and brings heavy rain, Sa’ar Stream comes to life dramatically. What was a dry channel in summer becomes a mighty flow of water – rainwater and melting snow from Mount Hermon flow powerfully between the black basalt rocks, creating impressive waterfalls that pour into wide natural pools. Choose a clear winter day after a period of rain and head to the Sa’ar Waterfall parking lot (simply enter it in Waze). The trail along the stream offers a breathtaking view of rushing waters, dramatic basalt rocks, and blooming winter vegetation. Dogs get excited about the new scents and sounds of flowing water, but be sure to keep them close to you near the rushing waters. This is a unique nature experience that will leave a strong impression on the whole family – and on your four-legged friend as well!
