Travel Hotels” is obligated to provide the general public who uses the site with content that is as accessible as possible, regardless of the technology that the site was built on. We strive to update and implement the accessibility rules as much as possible, in accordance with the accessibility standards.

The website is optimized for level 2 (AA) accessibility of the W3C organization. In thefollowing links you will find the website’s accessibility guidelines in Hebrew and in English. The site was built according to W3C standards for CSS and HTML. The website is optimized to display in major browsers.


Easily browsing the website

– You can navigate forward in the site with the TAB button. To navigate backward, press the key combination: SHIFT + TAB.

– Before the main navigation of site, there is a hidden button that appears when it receives the keyboard focus. Clicking it will open a pop-up window. In the window, the site menu will appear. It can be closed by pressing the “ESC” button on the keyboard, or by clicking the “close” button in the menu. You can also navigate to it using the small keyboard arrows (up and down(.

– You can navigate from the main menu using “TAB” and “SHIFT + TAB”.

– At the top of the site there are buttons that can change the font size and the website colors, to facilitate viewing.

– To assist in entering information into the website’s forms, there is a unique tool that enlarges the text as you type in the form fields. The tool opens and closes automatically when you are in a form field, and does not interfere with filling in the form.


Navigating areas

The site is divided into areas, such as the main content area and the versatile menu. At the start of each area, there is a level 5 heading indicating the name of the area you are in. Some of the headlines are also links, which allows you to skip that area and reach your desired content faster. For example, it is possible to skip over the main menu.


ARIA rules

If you use a reading screen software or other assistive technologies, know that in this site Aria laws were taken into consideration. These laws help to interpret the site content accurately and better for those technologies, so that the technology you are using will provide you the accurate meaning of existing elements on the page.

The Hotel and Parking Area

The Village Travel Hotel sprawls over an area of approximately 72 dunam.  The hotel guest rooms and public areas are spread across various buildings; accessible paths connect all of them.

All of the hotel guest rooms, except for four, are located on the ground floor.

The hotel has a large number of parking spaces, all of which are accessible to guests with disabilities, and there is a parking space attached to each room. Parking at the hotel is free of charge.

The hotel offers 3 rooms suitable for guests with disabilities.

The Reception Area and the Dining room

Accessible paths provide easy access to the entrance to the dining room, and the reception area, from all the parking spaces.

The southern entrance to the dining room, and reception building, is accessible to disabled guests, and they can be reached using the paths that connect all the buildings throughout the complex. All of the paths, as stated above, are accessible.

The reception, dining room, bathrooms (including accessible bathrooms) are located in the main building; all of the aforementioned places are wheelchair accessible.

Guests with disabilities are assigned rooms suitable to their needs (upon requesting such a room in advance, and based on availability).

At the reception, located in the main building on the ground floor, a guest may request the staff’s assistance at any time regarding various matters, such as:

All of the hotel guest rooms are located on the ground floor, the access to some of which requires climbing 2-3 steps.

The hotel has a large number of parking spaces, all of which are accessible to guests with disabilities. Parking at the hotel is free of charge.

The hotel offers 2 rooms adapted to the needs of guests with disabilities.

The hotel has a large number of parking spaces, all of which are accessible to guests with disabilities. Two parking spaces are designated as for guests with disabilities. There is one double parking space. Parking at the hotel is free of charge.

There is one room adapted to the needs of guests with disabilities.

The Reception Area and the Dining Room

The entrance to the dining room building is accessible to guests with disabilities, and can be reached using the pathsconnecting all the buildings around the complex. Check-in and check-out (arriving and leaving) at the hotel for guests with disabilities is done in the comfort of the guest’s room, which is adapted to be suitable to do so.

Metula Travel Hotel is a main single building housing guest rooms, a dining room, lobby, and reception area.

The hotel has 3 rooms on the ground floor suitable for guests with disabilities; the rest of the guest rooms can be accessed using the elevator.

There are many parking spaces on the street of the hotel and adjacent to the hotel; one is designated as an accessible parking space. The parking at the hotel is free of charge.

There is one guest room adapted to the needs of guests with disabilities.

The courtyard of the hotel has sitting areas and a covered porch. The porch area is accessible.

Public areas on the ground floor – reception, lobby and dining room

Access to the reception, lobby, and dining room does not require use of an elevator. The hotel building can be accessed from the southern entrance, adjacent to the disabled persons’ parking space. There are accessible bathrooms in the dining room.

The tents and public areas are spread across the camping complex; there are accessible paths between them to the public areas, and to the tents.

All the tents are located on the ground floor.

The complex has a parking area adjacent to the entrance; there are also parking spaces for disabled guests. The time of arrival must be coordinated with the site manager, and direct access will be given to the parking area. Parking is free of charge.
